About Pearl
Pearl Laurent always pees before she leaves the house — just in case — terrified of needing to go and finding no bathroom, or one she'd rather not sit on. She is also a surfer, festival-goer and restless traveler who is happiest out in the world: dancing late with friends, queuing for concerts and the theatre, getting lost in a new city, road-tripping, hiking, or sitting through gloriously long brunches and meetings.
Which is exactly how she learned, the hard way, that life keeps happening far from a decent bathroom. Tired of watching women — herself included — shrink their plans around the nearest restroom, she spent years gathering the no-taboo tips, the gear that actually works, and the honest answers nobody talks about, and put them all into one funny, shame-free guide.
She lives on Florida's Space Coast in Cocoa Beach with Toy — her fluffy white dog with bright black eyes, and her favourite surf-and-walk buddy — where the surf is good and the wild trails are even better.
Her mission is simple: that no woman ever says “no” to a plan because of a bathroom again.
